Decontamination

Studsvik offers a broad range of decontamination services in Germany, the Netherlands and Switzerland.

We offer support during outages, routine maintenance decontamination in nuclear power plants, the decontamination of complete systems, hot cells, laboratories, transport casks and containers as well as the operation of decontamination systems such as blasting cells. The scope of services also includes the operation of hot washers, manipulator work, and the repackaging of radioactive residues for further processing for interim storage and final disposal. In addition, we support the operation of incineration plants and internal transport, and we also conduct pressure and leak tests on CASTOR containers.

Our aim is to improve safety within the working environment by eliminating contamination and thus also the dose exposure of personnel, while at the same time reducing the amount of waste to be disposed of.
